A formulaic as hell movie with a ton of polish and care by the director vs a movie undone by nepotism and people misunderstanding the source material with a director that just gave up midway through

I feel we should clarify that the polished/cared movie was James Cameron’s Avatar, lest someone make the mistake of thinking the Last Airbender movie might be good.
