Hey there friend, just wanted you to know about something. Tumblr user b-bin/a/oh/an has made a few posts (crossposted from her twitter account) that highlight her personal issues with your term MOGAI from her perspective as a NB TWOC. I figured you may want to check it out (she doesn’t have a specific tag for it, but it’s a few pages into her blog) especially bc it seems like it does draw attention to possible transmisogyny and racism hidden in the term.

ay if you need any help with any terms associated with socialism or capitalism i’ll be happy to provide ;w; i love explaining these things to people so i wanna help in whatever way i can; for example proletariat is the working-class people and bourgeoisie is the middle class and up who own most of the wealth and means of production; these are both french terms that separated the french poor from the wealthy and these ideas are what helped cause the french revolution

a guy named karl marx decided they were hella cool terms and used them in his brand of marxism in the book he wrote detailing the beginnings of communism (i think this is how it went anyway i’m running off of memory so if i’m wrong then pls do make corrections)

mostly i’m pissed because a ton of people i followed have reblogged it, and in most cases i suspect that they noticed it but decided that they had a feminist tweet to reblog and that throwing disempaths under the bus is acceptable if it’s for a “good cause”
