Hey there. I’m trying to learn about median systems , and was wondering if you could help me understand it more? A friend said perhaps I have a median system but am very unsure.

i’d love to help you but unfortunately i don’t have the spoons and i don’t think i will for a while?? im gonna post this in the median & system tags so other people can help out
if you don’t want this published pls let me know & i’ll take it down

bc i have lots of little not really voices but little “me’s” and idk how to really explain it other than just a brainweird thing and schizo-related but its kinda like at all times my head is tryin to fuck me over and i have a lot of intrusive thoughts that i talk back to in my head and stuff and so it feels a little more comfortable to say “we” and “us” instead of “i” and “me” even though im just. one person. TBC

anyway i was rly just wondering if i should be focusing on not doing this anymore or if it is ehhhhh w/e or if its just fine and all. sry for the long msgs and also i get it if youre not up for answering this

oh hey look who didnt realize what TBC meant $: sorry about that, nonny!

i dont think this rly effects my answer at all so im just gonna link the two posts together n stuff

hi im autistic and i follow a lot of systems and such and i do that autistic thing where i pick up phrasing and dialect and stuff from people around me and so ive ended up like switching to “we watched tv today” instead of “i watched tv today” and like im not a system or anything (sorry if im using bad terms im not so sure im sorry) but anyway this is definitely something i should be correcting because its bad and wrong right? but also it feels better and more comfortable bc TBC

honestly i don’t mind? like as long as you’re not making jokes like “lol its so funny because im a singlet” i dont see a problem w/ it at all

i can’t speak for everyone but i myself don’t feel its offensive and i haven’t actually heard of anyone else who does either

posting this in the tags tho so anyone who feels autistic singlets using ‘we/us’ for themselves is inappropriate can see & weigh in(i’d strongly prefer ppl weighing in to be both autistic and part of a system, but i’m willing to listen to people who are just one or the other)

edit;; i didnt realize this was part of a series of asks, so here [clicky] is the rest of the message

Maximum ride as a series might be something you enjoy it’s not romo heavy( it does get in the end but I didn’t finish it and the first few books stand alone) and there are several disabled characters who don’t get cured including a blind boy as one of the main group. Plus super strong female characters including some women of color.

o yeah true

i have read them before but i wasn’t able to get into them v much because i read them all out of order whoops

i might give them a reread this time maybe even in the right order who knows?? sometime soon, ty nonny! c:
