lynx: i’m usually sort of dormant so my personality is kinda underdeveloped? i’m technically the “host” but i guess i’m a very lazy one, haha. i haven’t had a whole lot of experience in the past few years but i like webkinz! i like playing polar plunge and all the webkinz are so cute i want like five of all of them!! i like warrior cats too but in a different way than cloud does? im not sure how to describe it yet!!!

i’m okay with they/them which are cloud’s pronouns but alternating between she/her and fae/faer would be really cool, thank you!

and i’m probably the same gender as cloud i think? idk my gender right now is probably just “really excited” lol, maybe just a bunch of exclamation points

cloud is the one who usually runs this blog so you know about them(and they’re technically me i guess, median stuff is weird lol) so if you wanna ask them specific differences between us from their point of view you can ask them later, i don’t get out much so im hogging the spotlight lol xD

i guess my current interests are cute things, fronting more and NOT HAVING CLOUD RANDOMLY FRONT WHEN I’M TRYING TO TALK i know u didn’t mean too but haha

Hey it says in your about to not follow you if you ship an incest ship and I ship Cersei/Jaime and I was wondering if it was still ok for me to follow you. It’s really the only incest ship I ship and I don’t reblog it often or post about it often but I just wanted to check.

i dont think it should matter if its original or not! you certainly have interesting points though. ive always liked telltale games for their walking dead having a lot of diverse characters and personalities. theyve disappointed lately with all their ableism with sarah and whatnot :/ but i think in this situation, people would be the most dangerous out of anything else you’re facing. (are zombies people?) and bleh ask limit. i have so much to say im sorry

exactly! people being the real threat is a common theme in zombie stories, but scruffy hetero white man vs scruffy hetero white man is ridiculously overdone and i’d love the chance to play around with what i think is a more realistic(not to mention more interesting) take on the whole thing

Ah! I love apocalyptic things and zombie related things! I was going to say that when you talked about it the other day, but since I am allistic I didn’t want to intrude. I personally have a morbid fondness of such scenarios, and before 12/12/12 I was planning how I would survive and which circumstances would be the best for the outbreak to happen while still having chances of survival (summer, a lot of the people in my city travel to a not too distant city with a beach, so there aren’t too (..)

(..) many people that would turn into zombies, for example. And I was looking for buildings in construction that could serve as safe heavens and what could be done to them to make them safer. I really like that stuff. And the discussion of how a thing like that could affect society and be beneficial in some aspects (would it be possible for every kyriarchy to be destroyed? etc.)

i think the effect on the kyriarchy would depend a lot on how long the outbreak lasted. for example, if it was over in less than a few months, then we likely wouldn’t’ve had time to get past the black and/or disabled people getting shot en masse phase that would inevitably happen when you have a bunch of abled white folks with weapons who are afraid for their lives running around

something more long term, like 6-12 months with privileged folks having to adjust to their systematic power having a huge chunk being taken away(since at that point, there is no system) would probably have a decent affect, if not 100%

maybe this is just me being a hopeless optimist, but i think that if things went on for 5-10 years, there really wouldn’t be much left of the systems of oppression, and with some decent effort we could actually wipe them out, maybe for good

^ ^ Thats really cool! I think it would be really interesting to talk about this, but i havent in while. I think zombie stuff stopped being a cool trend and the all things apocalypse with it ;-; what a shame

yeah, it seems like people got tired of the same old thing and i can see where they’re coming from, because most media was showing very similar takes on it, but honestly there’s so many interesting things about the genre even just with worldbuilding rather than “how would i survive this situation”?

one story idea i have that’s more setting than actual story or characters atm is where there’s a zombie outbreak and the government sets up a barbed wire fence all around it, puts the national guard all around the fence to shoot any zombies trying to leave, evacuates the areas nearby..

..and then does basically fuckall to help the people inside the quarantine.

it’s kinda 50/50 between people fighting zombies and similar fare, and the controversy of people outside about what they should do about the situation- set up elaborate facilities to quarantine people and then begin evacuations, having people remain in said facilities for X amount of time/even indefinitely to make sure they’re not infected, bomb the whole place to eliminate the risk of the zombies getting out and infecting a larger area, send in the military to clear out all the zombies and who cares about the inevitable human collateral damage-

and the frustration of the people inside as they try to get people to listen to them via social media yet rarely get much interest beyond youtube videos of zombies roaming the streets and selfies with care packages that are dropped in on parachutes. 

plus a focus on how, contrary to what mainstream media would have you believe, white middle class dyallo cishet abled men are actually the worst prepared for all hell to break loose, because the rest of us are actually used to the gov’t not being on our side, banding together and protecting each other, making due with what resources we have, and tons of other skills that privileged people have never had to learn

wow, that really got away from me, but i think i need to actually write this thing now xD 

uhh… anyway, i think i was saying something about there being a lot of ideas that can still be explored RE: zombies and idk if mine is the most original ever but shh it’s a start ok
